European Voluntary Service – a learning opportunity – world cafe

The Cluj-Napoca Volunteer Center invites you to join an event with and about international volunteers that will take place on the 6th of June 2012.

This event is aimed at youngsters aged 16 to 30 that are interested in the opportunities offered by international volunteering projects and will take place in the offices of the Cluj-Napoca Volunteering Center (Virgil Fulicea Street no1 ap1 in Cluj-Napoca) between 10:00-16:00.

The world cafe is a creative method of stimulating a significant cooperative dialogue on topics considered important by the participants. The whole idea of the event is to discuss various volunteering perspectives, in an interactive manner with those involved in this program: european volunteers currently hosted in Romania, returned romanians from abroad and organisations that host international volunteers.

We should mention that by this financing program, the volunteers are assured lodging, meals, international and local transportation, personal and professional support, language coursesfor the host country’s native language and pocket money. The volunteering projects implemented through the European Voluntary Service can have a duration between 2 months and 1 year.

The European Voluntary Service is a once in a life time opportunity!

We wish that at the end of the event, a global view of the European Voluntary Service is sketched, so that this opportunity (offered by the European Commission’s “Youth in Action” Program) can be best exploited. Please confirm your presence to this event by the 4th of June 2012 by the following means: e-mail programecvcn@voluntariat.ro, phone 0264 431 411, mobile 0746 786 881, contact Ioana Bere.

This event is part of the “123 days!” project that the Cluj-Napoca Volunteering Center is implementing during December 2011- August 2012 with the financial support of the European Commission by means of the Youth in Action Program.
