Education in interethnic communities.
Authentic mobilization
We work together for an inclusive Europe!
We work together for an inclusive Europe!
The project aims at sustainable community development focused on education in interethnic communities, in the sense that the school becomes the factor that coagulates the efforts of community members to increase the quality of life of all its citizens, but especially the vulnerable. The objectives of the project aim at directions of action aimed at developing the capacity of schools, stimulating citizen mobilization, combating discrimination and strengthening the capacity of the promoter.
The targeted communities have a significant percentage of the Roma population and face various problems (education, housing, poverty, discrimination, etc.). Starting from these realities, we chose to develop the social capital of trust and mobilization, putting the school at the center of the action. The activities will involve teachers, citizens – community members, public institutions and companies during the project.
The project is carried out by the Cluj-Napoca Volunteer Center Association in partnership with the JK Youth Association and the Something New Christian Organization Association and benefits from a funding of 108,761.08 euros, through the Active Citizens Fund Romania program, funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021.
